North East Telford Studies

An informal group studying the N E Telford coalfield area, covering chiefly Donnington, Hadley, Ketley, Oakengates, Priorslee, St George's, Snedshill, Wombridge, and Wrockwardine Wood. We collect information relating to the history of the industrial development of the area and of the people involved.

We hold an annual exhibition and publish booklets about our work.

Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month.

We take a computer/scanner to the United Church Room on the last Saturday of each month to copy old photographs of the area and collect reminiscences..
