Friends of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums

- a registered charity formed in the 1970's to support the IRONBRIDGE GORGE MUSEUM TRUST in the preservation, restoration, improvement, enhancement and maintenance of features and objects of historical and industrial interest in the gorge Area.

The friends also help directly in the daily running of the Museum's 10 sites, with the provision of volunteers and guides working around the Museums, and other activities such as the Social and Oral History Group and the Archive Group. The Museum Trust currently offers Friends free admission to all the 10 sites throughout the year and 10% discount off most purchases in the Museum shops.

Friends also receive 'IRONBRIDGE QUARTERLY', a newsletter giving details of what is currently happening a the museum and including articles of an historical nature. There is a programme of previews and private views of exhibitions, talks, walks, visits, social events and meetings.
