Transactions 2007 published

To further the aims of the Forum, it is intended to publish on an annual basis selected local studies papers resulting from talks given at member societies' meetings, research undertaken by individual members and (with permission) articles that have appeared elsewhere, together with a review of relevant recently published work. In doing this we are reviving (and expanding) the role of the Journal of the Telford Historical & Archaeological Society, which was published between 1997 and 2004.

This year we have concentrated on the Proceedings of the Thomas Telford Day School held in September 2007. The following articles have been included.:-

Thomas Telford in perspective by Barrie Trinder

Thomas Telford; Rome, roads and bath houses by Roger White

Telford and the improvements to the Holyhead Road in East Shropshire by Neil Clarke

St Michael's Church, Madeley by Shelagh Lewis

Photographing Telford's legacy by Chris Morris

This publication costs £3.50 including postage, from Neil Clarke - see details below.
