History on Foot Programme

History on Foot is a programme of guided local history walks across Telford and East Shropshire organised by members of the WLSF for 2018.For more information and pre-booking to ensure your place please contact the organiser of the individual walks. Groups may invite small donations to offset any costs.
The programme runs between June 1st to August 31st, 2018. Members taking part part are: Newport Historical Society, Wellington History Group, Shifnal History Group, Britannia and Aqueduct Historical Society, St Georges Community Group, Lawley and Overdale Local History Group, Broseley Local History Society, Ketley History Group and David de Haan.

Forum opens on-line shop

As an experiment the group has opened an on-line shop. This will in future offer a number of publications, but initially there are just two items which are offered as a free download, plus one as a Hard Copy to purchase. Purchasers are asked to enter their details, so we can access the popularity of this venture.

 

Library changes “drop in” hours.

Both Southwater and Wellington libraries will still have their “drop ins” on the same days, but both times have changed to 11 am to 12:30 pm.
